We sincerely thank everyone who took part in the 2nd Korean Language Speaking Contest for Foreigners, hosted by The Korea Times. This contest was organized to foster greater interest in the Korean language and culture and to enhance Korea’s global influence.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Ministry of Education; the King Sejong Institute Foundation; the Cyber University of Korea; the Far East Broadcasting Company; the Korea Forest Service; Kangwon Land; Cheonan City; and Korea Aerospace Industries, this year’s contest attracted thousands of participants from over 100 countries around the world.

The panel of judges evaluated each entry comprehensively, taking into account creativity, expressiveness, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, as well as overall content.

Despite the fierce competition, the following participants stood out with their outstanding performances and are hereby announced as the winners.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners. We hope you will continue to show interest and affection for learning the Korean language and exploring Korean culture. Once again, we sincerely thank all participants and look forward to your continued enthusiasm and participation in next year’s contest.

  • The winners will be announced on the Howdy Korea YouTube community board seven days after the contest results are published. Winners will also be contacted individually.
